BEA MOUNTAIN INVESTIGATES INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT AND EXPRESSES REGRET

Date:

KINJOR – The Management of Bea Mountain Mining Corporation (BMMC) issued a press release today, Sunday, June 9, acknowledging and expressing deep regret over a workplace accident at its New Liberty Mine on Saturday, June 8, 2024.

The Management has observed with grave concern the rumors circulating on various social media platforms regarding the accident. The Management strongly denounces the misinformation being published about the staff’s experience and training, as well as the steps taken in conjunction with the personnel’s family to provide the necessary emergency and medical care.

“Our focus remains on providing the needed support and care for our personnel and his family,” the release stated.

A full-scale internal investigation is underway, after which the relevant authorities will be duly informed. Additionally, the Ministry of Mines and Energy has commenced an independent process to assess the circumstances that led to the accident. The Management respectfully asks all concerned parties to be patient and remain calm while awaiting the outcome of these investigations.

Bea Mountain assures that all necessary actions will be taken based on the investigation results.
