…Dr. Gray awards one Master’s Degree scholarship and LD$50,000 to the Disabled Association
MONROVIA – The Association of Students with Disability of the University of Liberia on Thursday, 2nd February 2023 honored the Dean of the Prof. Amos C Sawyer College of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Liberia, Prof. Dr. Josephus M. Gray for his tireless effort and valuable services to the student population of the institution.
The Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Dr. Gray at the program marking the official launch of the National Lottery Authority Financial Aid towards the Disabled Students Association.
Presenting the Certificate of Appreciation to Prof. Dr. Josephus Moses Gray, the Director of the Resource Center for Disability Support and Alternative Learning, Assistant Prof. Mrs. Saydah Williamson Taylor said the Disabled Students Association was pleased to honor the Sawyer College Dean for his unrentless support to the students with Disability, and the Dean’s demonstrated passion for inclusive education at the Nation’s premier higher institution of learning.
In a special statement, Dr. Gray praised the UL Students with disabilities for their outstanding academic performance and valuable services to the institution despite of their condition.
He reminded the students that the President of the University of Liberia, Prof Dr. Julius Julukon Sarwolo Nelson, and the entire UL administration are very proud of the disabled students due to their outstanding academic performance and commitment to achieving quality education.
Dr. Gray on behalf of the leadership of Prof. Amos C Sawyer College awarded a fully funded Master’s study Scholarship to the Disabled Students Association for one of their members to enroll in the University of Liberia Graduate School, effective next academic year.
Also, Dr. Gray committed fifty thousand Liberian dollars (LRD50,000) towards the Association’s project.
Dr. Gray used the occasion to praise the UL President, Dr. Julius Julukon Sarwolo Nelson for being a student and faculty center and for his able leadership.
He further praised the UL president for the positive achievements under his administration and the new trajectory of the nation’s flagship university.
