IAA SIGNS AUDIT CHARTER WITH LIBERIA INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OFFICE

LIBERIA – The signing grants, IAA access to the systems and processes of the entity, in the discharge of their audit functions. It followed, after the management team of LIPO, requested the attention of IAA to assign auditors to the entity.

During the official signing ceremony, IAA Director General, Mr. David A. Kemah,  appreciated the intellectual property office for asking his entity to deploy auditors, contrary to the IAA’s asking.

According to him, it speaks volumes, and has pledged that his agency will play the role of LIBO’s internal auditors,  to enhance their work and contribute to the efficiency of the mandate of the  Intellectual Property Office.

Also speaking at the signing ceremony was the Director General of  LIPO, Cllr. P. Adelyn Cooper.

Cllr. Cooper  expressed her  profound gratitude for signing the audit charter and expressed optimism that said action  will help them to effectively carry on their work at LIPO

She stated further, that audit is a key component for checking and balance to their work.
