PRES. BOAKAI OFFERS CONDOLENCES TO FORMER PRES. SIRLEAF ON THE PASSING OF SON, CHARLES SIRLEAF

Monrovia, LIBERIA – President Joseph N. Boakai has extended his heartfelt condolences to Former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf on the loss of her son, former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL), Charles Sirleaf.

In a press release issued today, it was stated that President Boakai, in a telephone conversation with the former President, expressed his profound regrets and prayed that God consoles Madam Sirleaf and her family during such a difficult time.

The President assured Former President Sirleaf of his intention to pay her a visit upon his return to the country, as he is currently away on national duty.

In the midst of this tragedy, President Boakai urges Liberians and friends to offer prayers for the consolation and peace of mind of the former President and her family.
