Mr. Stanley Ford
LIBERIA – The newly inducted Director General of the Financial Intelligence Agency (FIA) Stanley Ford has vowed to work assiduously in the discharge of his duties placing dedication and integrity at the heart of the entity.
The Financial Intelligence Agency is an Agency responsible to protect Liberia’s Financial System from the abuse of financial crimes to the enhancement of national, regional, and global peace and economic stability.
Speaking during his induction ceremony held in Monrovia on Thursday, Ford said, “As I have been inducted as the Director General of this entity; the Financial Intelligence Agency of Liberia, I will place hard work, dedication, and integrity, at the heart of what we do”.
He said as a former Assistant Director of the FIU, and despite serving in different capacities at other institutions, the work of the FIA has always been of interest to him.
This, he said, is because he believes in the entity’s ability to deliver on its mission which is coupled with “our core value of service, confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism that we must deliver.”
“This, not the script that was written for Rasta-man Stanley Ford, somebody must have made a mistake but like every young person in this society struggling to make it happen; I was once there, so let me also be an example to you of what hard work, dedication, and integrity can do,” Ford noted.
He however appreciated his predecessors for the level of work done to have brought the entity to where it is, adding that he will consult if need be and seek advice where necessary for the continuity of their work, (LINA).
