TENSIONS RISE BETWEEN SENIOR ADMINISTRATORS AT LIBERIA DRUGS ENFORCEMENT AGENCY

Date:

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Sources within the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) have informed Smart News Liberia about growing tensions between two senior administrators at the Agency.

According to reports, the Director of LDEA, Abraham Kromah, and his Deputy for Operations, Hassan Fardiga, engaged in a heated verbal altercation today. The disagreement escalated to the point where Fardiga reportedly instructed his driver to retrieve his weapon. However, the driver declined, citing his own frustration with the situation.

The unfolding conflict between these key figures within the LDEA raises concerns about the stability and unity of the Agency. Such internal disputes can hinder the effective operation and overall mission of the LDEA, which plays a crucial role in combating drug-related crimes in Liberia.

The government must intervene and address the situation at the LDEA promptly to prevent further escalation of tensions. It is crucial to ensure that the Agency remains focused on its primary objectives and that such internal conflicts do not compromise its effectiveness.

Failure to address these issues could lead to serious consequences within the LDEA, potentially undermining its ability to carry out its mandate effectively. The government’s prompt intervention is needed to resolve the disputes and restore stability within the Agency.

The reported tensions between Director Abraham Kromah and Deputy Hassan Fardiga at the LDEA highlight the need for immediate action by the government. Addressing these internal conflicts is vital to maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of the LDEA in its fight against drug-related crimes in Liberia.
