MONROVIA – The Press Union of Liberia (PUL) has announced with deep sorrow the passing of its esteemed member, Ziamah Zeigler. In honor of his memory, the PUL will open a book of condolence on Friday, May 24, 2024.
In a press release issued today and signed by the PUL Officer-In-Charge, Akoi M. Baysah, Jr., it was announced that the book of condolence for journalist Zeigler will be available for signing at the Union’s Headquarters from 11:30 am onwards.
Journalist Ziamah Zeigler, a dedicated and beloved figure in the media community, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, in the Jamaica Road Community after a brief illness. Known for his jovial and professional demeanor, Zeigler’s absence is deeply felt among his colleagues and the wider journalistic community.
Before his untimely death, Zeigler worked at King’s FM and made significant contributions to various newspapers. Most recently, he was affiliated with the New Liberia Newspaper at the Ministry of Information, Culture Affairs, and Tourism, where he served until his passing. His death leaves a profound void in the field of journalism.
The PUL extends its heartfelt condolences to Zeigler’s family, colleagues, friends, and all who mourn his loss. The Union urges everyone to find strength in unity as they navigate this period of grief together.
The book of condolence will be open for signing starting at 11:30 am at the Press Union of Liberia headquarters. The Union requests the presence of all its members, media professionals, and the general public to attend and pay their final respects to the late journalist, Ziamah Zeigler.
