MONROVIA – The Center for Transparency and Accountability in Liberia (CENTAL) has extended appreciation to the media and partners for their support and partnership; and for also helping CENTAL to disseminate the Corruption Perception Index 2022 and the CENTAL State of Corruption Report 2022 (SCORE 2022).
CENTAL’s Executive Director, Anderson D. Miamen in his appreciation write-up posted on Facebook yesterday further extended appreciation to ordinary Liberian citizens, its donors, and other partners. He thanked them for immensely supporting and appreciating their work.
Mr. Miamen’s post also mentioned that more than ever before, CENTAL is ready to support the government in taking the necessary actions to improve Liberia’s score/rating on the Corruption Perception Index and other key governance indicators…
He added that he hopes the government, especially President Weah listens and acts accordingly to reverse the negative trend in the fight against corruption, saying, “With the right actions and decisions, we will climb the CPI ladder, make incremental progress, and eventually surpass our best ever 2012 score of 41.”
“Again, mere promises and nice speeches don’t successfully fight corruption, only concrete, timely, holistic, and sustained actions do, Mr. President.”
He continued: “Only enforcing the laws; adequately funding integrity Institutions; timely acting on recommendations from donors, civil society, the media, and citizens; and punishing the corrupt and their accomplices can win the war against corruption and bad governance, mainly in Liberia.”
My uncle is just another joker. Just be there jerking on yourself, papay. Time passing.
