MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Presidential Press Secretary, Kula Fofana, reaffirmed President Joseph Nyuma Boakai’s dedication to establishing a War and Economic Crimes Court in Liberia. Speaking to Executive Mansion reporters, Fofana confirmed that President Boakai has received the resolution from the 55th National Legislature and will soon act on it after thorough review by legal experts.
She emphasized, “The President’s legal team, along with the Minister of Justice and other relevant parties, is currently reviewing the document. Upon completion, the President will take appropriate action.”
Fofana highlighted President Boakai’s unwavering commitment to the Rule of Law, justice, and equal rights for all Liberians. Addressing reporters on Monday, April 22, 2024, she urged patience from the public as the government, under President Boakai’s leadership, works to address national issues incrementally.
With the 100-day deliverables approaching completion, Fofana assured that President Boakai will fulfill his promises. “The 100-day goals are progressing well. President Boakai will soon update the nation on his accomplishments and future plans,” she said.
Regarding Assets Declaration, Fofana noted a positive trend with more Executive appointees declaring their assets compared to before. This increase followed President Boakai’s reminder to his cabinet and officials during the recent second cabinet retreat.
Fofana also shared that President Boakai is actively addressing several pending issues to ensure better governance and public satisfaction.
Ahead of the April 23, 2024, Bi-Elections, Fofana encouraged Liberians in Nimba and District One, Grand Gedeh Counties, to vote peacefully and in large numbers.
