Amidst the unfolding controversy, Gbarpolu County Senator Amara Konneh, a prominent advocate for transparency and accountability, released a statement on Sunday, June 16, 2024. Konneh asserted that he had thoroughly reviewed all official documents related to the Senate retreat and pledged to provide clear and factual information upon his return from Gbarpolu. He stated, “We promised transparency & accountability & it starts with the Senate!
