MONROVIA – Authorities in Lofa County have arrested a Liberian woman, Anita Lincoln, 43, for allegedly possessing a significant quantity of marijuana. The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) carried out the operation on February 6, 2025, at about 9:15 AM at her home in Vahun City.
Acting on a court-issued warrant, LDEA agents conducted a thorough search of the residence, leading to the discovery of marijuana carefully hidden in plastic containers. Officers found multiple packets tied in cold water plastics, eight cans filled with the illegal substance, and two measurement cups containing marijuana seeds.
Following the seizure, Lincoln was immediately taken into custody for further questioning. She remains at the LDEA office in Vahun as investigators work to determine the full extent of her involvement in drug-related activities. Officials estimate the confiscated marijuana to have a street value of LRD 8,000.
The LDEA has vowed to remain relentless in its crackdown on illicit drugs and is urging the public to assist by reporting any suspected trafficking or distribution of illegal substances.
