DR. AMOS CLAUDIUS SAWYER EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION AWARDS FULL MASTER’S SCHOLARSHIP TO PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED GRADUATE

Date:

MONROVIA – In a heartwarming gesture of support for higher education, the Dr. Amos Claudius Sawyer Educational Foundation has awarded Miss Beatrice Snyder, a physically challenged graduate with a BA degree in English, a fully funded scholarship to pursue her master’s studies at the University of Liberia Graduate School.

The announcement was made today by Mrs. Thelma E. Duncan Sawyer, widow of the late Dr. Amos Claudius Sawyer, during the Annual Academic Recognition and Honoring program hosted by the leadership of the Amos C. Sawyer College of Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Liberia.

Expressing their gratitude, the Amos C. Sawyer College acknowledged the importance of the scholarship and the role it will play in Miss Snyder’s academic journey. The college hailed the Dr. Sawyer Educational Foundation for its generous contribution toward empowering the next generation of Liberian scholars, especially those overcoming physical challenges.

Miss Snyder’s achievement and the scholarship represent a significant step toward greater inclusion in Liberia’s academic landscape, with institutions like the Dr. Amos Claudius Sawyer Educational Foundation leading efforts to bridge gaps in access to education for all.
