LIBERIA – BBC Liberian Reporter, Jonathan Late-Layleh has said that in the midst of an abundance of water, the Ministry of Information should not be thirsty.
Paye-Layleh in reaction to the constant cry for lack of support to the Ministry of Information said Liberia is a country that sees millions of dollars go unaccounted for.
He stated that “We have recorded a budget surplus at one point and well as allotting $2000 a day for a sitting president’s overseas incidental allowance. This is in addition to the daily per diem and cost of accommodation.” President Weah stay 48 days out of Liberia and just returned two days ago.”
He wonders how is it that only $17, 500 is allocated for media operations a whole year for Liberia, Africa’s oldest independent state; adding, “What a shame?”
