FARMINGTON HOTEL, MARGIBI COUNTY – The founding chairperson for the political action group in support of the presidential bid of former VP Jospeh N. Boakai (JNB), the National Alliance for JNB, former Senate President Pro Tempore, Armah Zolu Jallah, has been named as a member of the Unity Party (UP) National Campaign Team dubbed “Rescue Mission.”
Unity Party’s Standard Bearer and former Vice President, Ambassador Boakai, at the weekend in Margibi County, named Jallah and several others on the UP campaign team, urging those on the team to vigorously canvass the length and breath of the country and make possible the “Rescue Mission”, which aims to oust George Weah at the ballot box and make him a one term president.
The UP standard bearer named Grand Bassa County Senator and Liberty Party’s embattled standard bearer, Nyonblee Karngar-Lawrence alias “Rescue Mother”, National Campaign Chairperson, while another senator, Prince Kermue Moye, Sr., of Bong County was named Campaign Manager.
Former ruling National Patriotic Party’s embattled Chairman, James Binney was named Vice Chairman for Administration, for the UP National Campaign Team, while the standard bearer of the Movement for One Liberia (MOL), Madam Macdella Cooper was named Vice Chair for Resource Mobilization.
Unity Party’s immediate past National Chairman, business mogul Amin Moda, was named Vice Chair for Research and Planning, while Margibi County Senator Tornorlah Varpilah was named Vice Chair for Technical Affairs, and UP’s former Secretary General, Mohammed Ali was piked as the Official Campaign Spokesperson.
Montserrado vocal Senator Abe Darius Dillon was named member of the National Campaign Team responsible for Montserrado County, while Gbarpolu County Senator Botoe Kanneh is a member on the UP National Campaign Team.
Others appointed to the UP National Campaign Team are the Chairperson of the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction (MDR), Cllr. Cooper Kruah, member; and Bomi County former Senator Sando Dazoe Johnson, member.
The rest are: University of Liberia former political science professor, Alaric Tokpah, member; Liberia’s longtime international female musician, Miatta Fahnbulleh, member; and the Karnga-Lawrence faction of the segmented Liberty Party, Jacob Smith, Campaign Liaison.
