LIBERIA – Last week, U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) collaborated with the Liberia Maritime Authority to conclude a series of successful inspections as part of implementing the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.
Dan VanBuskirk and James Provost from the #USCG also met the Liberian Coast Guard, the National Port Authority of Liberia, APM Terminals Liberia, and Arcelor Mittal Liberia.
The ISPS Code is the primary internationally accepted port security standard for countries that are party to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS).
Since its first compliance with the ISPS in 2019, Liberia has set a strong record of performance by continuously improving port security.
This USCG visit was a success and highlighted Liberia’s firm commitment to implementing the ISPS Code!
