THE PRINCE JOHNSON’S FACTOR IN JOSEPH BOAKAI AMBITION

Date:

An Op-ed by Hassan U. Kiawu, BA, MPA (Candidate for MA in Health Comm & PR)

Media & Communications Specialist/Consultant

Hey Mike,

Most of the information is based on sentiments and lies. We must be fair to ourselves when writing about people. You accused Prince Johnson of cannibalism and drinking human blood. Are there evidence to that? Yes, he boasts of killing Doe and prosecuting a senseless war.

I’m surprised that you would include in your piece that Koung was accused of selling human parts when in fact Costa had long apologized for lying on him. You heard that part but you decided to follow what the crowd is running with. This is the same Henry Costa who is accused of being a liar, blackmailer and a thief.

How come you don’t trust anything he says but trust his lies even after he had apologized for the lies and retracted it. You also claim that Joe Boakai has squandered 42 years of opportunities during his public service. Can you also tell me all the years that make up the “42 squandered” years.

Your piece did not mention how Prince Johnson helped President Johnson Sirleaf in 2011, how he took President Weah to Bishop TD Joshua and later campaigned for Weah in 2017. All those times, he was not a war criminal even though all of us including myself know that he has been as evidenced by his own video tape and, TRC testimonies and reports.

You also did not state that Jeremiah Koung fell out with Prince Johnson during the last elections because, despite being a member of Prince Johnson’s party, he disobeyed his instructions and canvassed for Amb. Boakai during the last elections.

Mike, when you want to feed us with food, let it be nutritious but not for ‘belly full”. In fact this food is poisonous. I write here as a non-partisan to any party or persons. Go back and define the meaning of an op-ed. When you write opinion pieces, let it be based on facts and not lies as your piece is littered with. I expect better.

Again, let me be clear, I am not a member of any political party or candidates. I will do this for anybody in Liberia. These are the kinds of things that set an entire community on fire. And it should not be coming from you. And who ever publishes this trash is following in your footsteps.
